WNBA

A huge thanks to Penny Taylor & the Phoenix Mercury for the opportunity to shoot my first ever WNBA game tonight while on a working holiday in the States.Phoenix Mercury hosted Minnesota Lynx in a physical encounter last night at Talking Stick Arena. The home team battled after superstar Diana Taurasi was thrown out in the 2nd quarter after she’d be on fire early with 14pt in just 13 min. The Lynx’s Maya Moore put on a show finishing with 38pt & 6 reb but the absence of Taurasi gave Aussie young gun & Melbourne Boomers WNBL guard Steph Talbot an opportunity to show the league her talents. She finished with 15pt @ 80%, 3 reb, 3 ast, 1 steal in 20min. Talbot and Bonner (29pt) kept the Mercury in the game but it was the Lynx who prevailed, getting home with a 5pt victory 80-75.
